5 Great ways to get more sleep at night

All my tips should really read meditation, meditation and meditation but that would be the end of this article and it wouldn't be much help if you can't meditate! Meditation really is the best way to overcome any problems you may have in getting to sleep.
It is strongly believed that sleep is our bodies way of recharging our batteries, making us ready to live another day hopefully refreshed and raring to go, but how many of us wake up in the morning and feel like we have never been to bed?
For some it is even worse than that.
Some people suffer terribly from insomnia, as in the case of Kim Cattrall from 'Sex in the City' fame who had to pull out of a stage play on her doctor's advice because of chronic insomnia. She described it as a 'tsunami' and it felt like a 'gorilla sitting on her chest'.
It is a very serious problem and can ruin your life as it becomes a vicious spiral downwards into the depths of depression.
Well hopefully these 5 tips will help you to get that good nights sleep that you so deserve.
1. Drink plenty of water
During the day keep yourself hydrated and try to limit the amount of caffeine that you drink. So that means cut down the number of cups of coffee you drink and also remember that tea contains caffeine as well! Try green tea which is very beneficial to your body.
2. Set an alarm
An hour before you normally go to bed set an alarm. Yes it is unusual, but during that hour begin to unwind, switch the TV off, stop going on Facebook and try to relax your mind.
3. Stop worrying
Rather than spend the night worrying about what you have to do tomorrow, write a To Do list before you go to bed. This will prioritise things and clear your mind.
4. Read a book
Immerse yourself in a good book, get away from day to day life.
5. Learn to meditate
